This Sunday Pastor Adrian de Lange will bring us the message “Hope for the Weak” based on the scriptures in Matthew Chapter 3.
We will also celebrate the sacrament of the Lords Supper.
The Government of Alberta extended their current COVID-19 restrictions through to January 21, 2021. While the Government has allowed limited capacity for in person services, within their guidelines they have recommended virtual or online services as an alternative. Given this recommendation, combined with the Government’s overall mandate to limit gatherings, Council has decided to continue our weekly services over Zoom. We will move back to an online format beginning this Sunday (January 17) and continue for at least two weeks. We understand the importance of gathering together and look forward to a time when there are less restrictions in place.
That said, we recognize there are those in the congregation who don’t have access to the technology needed to participate with us in an online format. If you fall into that category, we encourage you to attend the service in person.

This week our offering is for The Refugee Fund. This excerpt was taken from a World Renew insert some time ago: “Refugee families are like any other families—sharing joys, hardships, and hope for the future. And just like us, they are part of God’s family. So when these families are welcomed into churches and communities here in Canada, they become our families”. River Park Church in partnership with World Renew continues this work of refugee sponsorship. This we do, knowing that we are blessed with your ongoing financial and prayerful support. This month the Core Refugee Team is sharing an update with you along with several prayer requests. May the Lord bless our gifts.
Second Offering is for the RPC Ministries Fund.
Offering Schedule: Jan 24, Mission Support, Jan 31: Sonshine Children’s Program
E-Transfer: River Park Church is set up to accept donations by e-transfer using firstname.lastname@example.org. This account is enabled for auto deposit, so no security question or answer are necessary. If your institution does not allow auto deposits, please use the following security question: What is the name of your church? Answer: RiverPark (no spaces). To ensure your donation goes to your chosen causes, please specify the causes and the amount for each cause in the text box that accompanies your donation. The format would be similar to this: RPC 75, Emma House 25.
